Lesee Justus

Justus was born in 2002 and is the youngest in a family of six. When Justus was six years old, his father passed away, leaving his mother to attend to the children and the family’s animals. Justus and his four sisters did not attend any school. They live the traditional Samburu lifestyle in the Sereongoi village.

A couple of years after his father passed away, when Justus was eight years old, he joined Lentasim Preschool. The preschool was under a tree where a portable blackboard was leaned against a tree and lessons were taught. In 2011, Justus was enrolled in Sere Olipi Primary School and since then, he has consistently been at the top of his class. Throughout school he has loved Mathematics. It’s his favorite subject. He also enjoyed playing football and reading books in the school library. He is a very jovial young man and is quite the social butterfly. From Class 4 through Class 8, he was the Class Prefect and the leader of classroom discussions. Justus dreams of becoming an electrical engineer and looks forward to being able to support his mother and family.
